Everyman Theatre in Cheltenham has two stages: the 694 seat main stage and the 60 seat Studio Theatre, originally named The Richardson after Ralph Richardson.
The Grade II listed building was originally called “The Opera House”. It was opened in October 1891, and The Cheltenham Corporation ran it after World War II until 1960, when it became a community theatre and was renamed The Everyman. In 2016, The Dog In a Bag hung from the railings at the front of the building.
