The village of Berkswell in the West Midlands has only a population of about 3,000 and among the half-dozen facts on Wikipedia is that “the Beastie Boys stayed in the village for two weeks in 1988” – so while the church in the village has been there since the Normans built it in the 12th Century, Timothy’s visit must rank among the most notable for 30 years.
