This impressive sculpture is a memorial to Charles Darwin who, we learned while visiting, was originally from Shrewsbury.  It stands beside the River Severn near the town centre and apparently isn’t anything in particular – but standing at 12m high and 17m wide it’s a very impressive looking nothing in particular!
