This photo was taken on our first trip to Llangollen: when we were merely passing by and didn’t even know that there was a railway station there, much less a working steam train! We’d missed the last train of the day, but vowed to return – which we did, a few weeks later.
Just the other side of the greenery is a wall, the other side of which is the thundering River Dee: there were people in kayaks and big inflatable boats – surely they were having a great time, but Timothy was quite content in a dry bag.
